Mr. Thamir Al-Sheikh
Chief Human Capital Officer
Mr. Thamir Al-Sheikh is the Chief Human Capital Officer at First Mills, responsible for managing human resource operations and planning for the company's plants, as well as at FMC's headquarters, where he optimizes the gross cost-saving strategy. Since joining First Mills in 2017, he has successfully led the HR departments across multiple plants and the HQ, developing regulations and procedures in line with the Saudi Labour System. In addition, he was at the leader of the Privatization Program, which involved transitioning Saudi and non-Saudi employees from the government sector to the private sector. Mr. Thamir is responsible for establishing and managing cost-saving strategies for the organization's workforce and has successfully implemented a workforce cost optimization strategy resulting in gross cost saving of 46M in 2022 and, achieving a net saving of over 8M SAR in 2023. Furthermore, he obtained the approval for the company's Human Capital Income under the Saudization Subsidy Program from the HR Ministry of Saudi Arabia, which will lead to savings of 3.2M SAR in both 2023 and 2024.
Mr. Thamir obtained MBA from Al-Faisal University's College of Business Administration. and a Bachelor's of Arts and Human Sciences from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. He went on to graduate with an Intermediate University Degree in Mechanical Technology - Production Section from Technical College.
